Netflix Selects Perfect Performer for Bentham in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is geared up to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
The platform declared this week that the talented performer has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay possesses the power to change into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that figure reinterpreted as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, as in the source material and cartoon version.
Escola joins several other fresh additions who will portray the group to the screen, featuring head Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Though the role is a major member of the organization, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Given the next season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal more adjustments to the narrative framework.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
