Vince Zampella, Dies in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The influential video game developer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
